PRE-ELEMENTARY GRADING SYSTEM
  1. There will be four (4) grading periods.
  2. The numerical system of grading will be used and grades will be expressed in multiples of one.
  3. The passing grade in any subject is 75% and the lowest grade in all grading is 70%.
  4. Ratings in any given subject shall be transmuted so that the highest possible grades in all grading periods shall be 100%
  5. The AVERAGING METHOD is used.  
  6. Promotion shall be by general average.

HONORS AND AWARDS (Pre-elementary Level)
Medals and certificates are awarded to pupils who have shown exemplary performance in either academic or other special skills.To be in the honor roll, a pupil must:
  • Have a grade not lower than 87%
  • Maintain status in the top 10 from first to fourth quarter from each section (am/pm class)
  • Consistently obtain a grade of VG in Conduct

GRADING SYSTEM IN THE SECONDARY LEVEL
  1. In line with the policy of providing a fair grading system, the 30%-70% measure of student achievement is adopted.
  2. There shall be 4 grading periods using the cumulative system.
  3. The numerical system of grading shall be used and grades shall be express in multiples of one.
  4. The passing grade in any given subject shall be 75%. The lowest grade that can be given to a student after transmutation of performance shall be 70%.

The highest possible grade in any quarter is 100% and the lowest is 70%  

PROMOTION AND FAILURES
A high school student who fails in any 1 subject at the end of the school year will have to take summer class in another school and pass the subject to be readmitted the next school year.Promotion shall be by subject and by the number of units earned. In this case, a student who fails in more than two units is retained in the same year level. Under the circumstance, the student will only be required to repeat the subjects that she failed and should be given advance subject in the next curriculum level.  

HONORS AND AWARDS
Medals and certificates are awarded to students who have shown exemplary performance in either academic or other special skills.HIGH SCHOOL a.  Must not have a grade lower than 85% from the first to fourth quarter
b.    Must maintain status in the top ten fro first to fourth quarter from each section
c.    Must not have behavioral records on; -   Actions contrary to faith -   Violation of school policies

With at least two years residence in CSR
e.  
Should obtain a grade of at least 85% in CLE from the first to fourth quarter

Must not be involved in any cheating incident (periodical tests, quizzes, long test, homework, project and others). Note:
Student in her first year of sch

ooling at CSR does not qualify for medals. She may however, if she qualifies; receive a Certificate of Merit for Good Performance  

CRITERIA FOR DETERMINING HONORS
The ranking for honor students will be based on: A.     70% Academic Standing, 30% Co-curricular Activities  

HONORS GRANTED TO DESERVING STUDENTS

  2. Rank 2 for each grade/year level receives a silver medal (with high Honors)
  3. Rank 3 for each grade/year level receives a bronze medal (with Honor)
  4. Those students who have steadily maintained their place in the top ten receive Certificate of merit with good performance.
  ACADEMIC PROBATION A student will be placed on academic probation on the following conditions.
  1. A new student will be placed under academic probation in her first stay at CSR. She must maintain a final general average of 80% and above to be able to be accepted in the list of enrollees for the following year.
  2. When a student incurs a failing final subject grade in any academic subject in the current school year. Grades 74% and below are considered failing.
  3. The academic probation status is lifted at the end of the school year if the student does not incur a final failing grade in any subject.
